About Our Campaign
The Tri-C Chorale is preparing for an unforgettable experience: traveling to Ireland to participate in the prestigious Dublin Choral Festival in June 2025. This event offers our students a rare opportunity to perform in the stunning St. Patrick's Cathedral alongside choirs from around the world, under the direction of award-winning conductor and composer Jake Runestad. For many of our students, this will be their first time traveling abroad, creating an incredible chance to immerse themselves in Irish culture and heritage.
Why This Trip Matters
The Dublin Choral Festival, held from June 18-22, 2025, is a celebration of Ireland's rich musical tradition. Participants will spend three days in rehearsals, culminating in a grand finale concert at the historic St. Patrick’s Cathedral, founded in 1191 and known as Ireland’s National Cathedral. This trip offers our students the unique experience of performing in a mixed-voice choir with members from diverse backgrounds, as well as the possibility of presenting their own concert of American choral music during the festival.
What We Need
The projected cost for this trip is approximately $4,000 per participant, covering travel, accommodations, and festival participation. With 12-15 current Tri-C students planning to attend, we are seeking to raise $50,000 to help reduce the financial burden on our students. Thanks to previous fundraising efforts, we have already raised around $11,000, but we need your support to make this life-changing opportunity accessible to all.
How You Can Help
Your donation will help cover the travel costs, as well as additional expenses like passports, concert attire, and down payments required for securing our spot in the festival. This trip not only broadens our students' horizons but also allows them to represent our community on an international stage, sharing the spirit of American choral music with audiences in Ireland.
Thank you for considering a contribution to our campaign. With your support, we can ensure that financial constraints don’t stand in the way of this extraordinary educational and musical journey.
